Orange-Ginger-Turmeric Marinade Recipe - MEG-3

Remember fatty fish – tuna, mackerel and salmon – pack the biggest punch of heart healthy EPA and DHA omega-3s. Orange-Ginger-Turmeric Marinade Recipe
Servings: 4
Ingredients
1/3 cup Tropicana® Heart Healthy Omega-3 orange juice
2 tbsp. toasted sesame oil
2 tbsp. coconut aminos (you can substitute with low-sodium soy sauce)
1 tbsp. lemon, freshly squeezed
1 tsp. ginger, freshly grated
½ tsp. turmeric, freshly grated
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 tsp. salt + more to taste
4 6-ounce portions of fish, white flaky fish like cod, halibut or flounder (or the marinade can be used on chicken breast, baked at 350 degrees for 1 hour)




Directions
1. Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
2. Pour marinade over fish and let marinate in the refrigerator for approximately 1 hour, turning once or twice.
3. Heat broiler. Remove fish from marinade and place fish on broiler pan or foil-lined baking sheet and broil approximately 5 to 6 inches from heat until fish is opaque all the way through and easily flakes with a fork. Cook for approximately 5 minutes per ½ inch thick. Serve hot.
