Are you looking for a new way to prepare your favorite type of fish? We worked with registered dietitian Amy Fischer (@thegreenfisch). to develop a marinade that will complement any fish.

Remember fatty fish – tuna, mackerel and salmon – pack the biggest punch of heart healthy EPA and DHA omega-3s. If you’re not a fish fan, then this marinade will be delicious on your baked chicken dish. Because Tropicana® Heart Healthy Omega-3 orange juice is fortified with MEG-3® - and it’s a key ingredient in the marinade – you’ll be getting EPA and DHA omega-3s during your next dinner.

Orange-Ginger-Turmeric Marinade Recipe

Servings: 4

1/3 cup Tropicana® Heart Healthy Omega-3 orange juice

2 tbsp. toasted sesame oil

2 tbsp. coconut aminos (you can substitute with low-sodium soy sauce)

1 tbsp. lemon, freshly squeezed

1 tsp. ginger, freshly grated

½ tsp. turmeric, freshly grated

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 tsp. salt + more to taste

4 6-ounce portions of fish, white flaky fish like cod, halibut or flounder (or the marinade can be used on chicken breast, baked at 350 degrees for 1 hour)

1. Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.

2. Pour marinade over fish and let marinate in the refrigerator for approximately 1 hour, turning once or twice.

3. Heat broiler. Remove fish from marinade and place fish on broiler pan or foil-lined baking sheet and broil approximately 5 to 6 inches from heat until fish is opaque all the way through and easily flakes with a fork. Cook for approximately 5 minutes per ½ inch thick. Serve hot.
